Dec/2005 to May/2010
The Tamanduateí Station pertains to Line 2 – Verde of the São Paulo Metro (Subway). It is an elevated Metro Station (with a built area of 12,068.62 m2), which integrates with the regular Railway Station bearing the same name and pertaining to Line 10 – Turquesa of the CPTM, by means of a mezzanine, which is common to both stations. The station was built in concrete with a metal structure (covering), having ample areas enclosed by glass panes (mezzanine), in order to make best use of natural lighting.
This elevated concept arose from the need to transpose and integrate with the Railway (Line 10 – Turquesa of the CPTM). This allowed the structuring of the body of the station into four superposed levels (technical quarters, operational, mezzanine and platform). These levels were set up in different tiers, thus creating alternating volumes and transparencies
