The Fortaleza Metro’s South Line, with initial demand foreseen at 360,000 passengers per day, is being implemented along the railway’s south trunk line in the metropolitan area of Fortaleza, between the Central Chico da Silva station located in Fortaleza’s historic center and the Carlitos Benevides station in the municipality of Pacatuba.

DETAILED DESIGN
- Design of the infra and superstructures of the permanent track way in the stretch between Carlitos Benevides Station and Central Chico da Silva Station (24 km), including devices for abating noise and vibrations of the elevated and underground stretches.
- Complete design of the civil works and architecture of the stations, Carlitos Benevides, Jereissati, Maracanaú, Virgílio Távora, Raquel de Queiroz, Alto Alegre, Aracapé, Conjunto Esperança, Mondubim, Manoel Sátiro, Vila Pery, Parangaba, Couto Fernandes, Porangabussú, Benfica, São Benedito, José de Alencar, Central Chico da Silva, Operating Control Center (CCO), Vila das Flores yard for parking and maintenance, Parangaba elevated complex and underground stretch.
- Analysis of the stationary systems designs:
- Energy feeding system with automatic and remote controlled operations;
- Traction-type overhead power lines (3000 Volts DC), simple type, self-stressed, suspended by articulated triangles and properly sized to supply energy to the train units;
- Centralized traffic and energy supply control system;
- Train signaling and control system;
- Telecommunications system;
- Ventilation system with air exhaust placed under the platforms.
MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Planning, control and overall coordination; administrative and financial follow-up; implementation follow-up of institutional reinforcement and environmental mitigation measures; interface between design and works; follow-up and control of equipment supplies (rolling stock) and supply of systems (signaling, telecommunications, energy), as well as technical support.
