The Sobral Metro is characterized as a rail transport system that will be operated with LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles), having 12 stations distributed along the South and the North stretches, which together form two inverted “U”s, and interconnect at the Coração de Jesus station. Also contemplated is the construction of a Repair Shop/Administative Center, and an Operational Control Center.
Sumaré Line
With an overall extension of 7.2 km and having 6 stations, this line will be used for both cargo and passenger services, utilizing the existing old track line of the RFFSA, currently operated by the Transnordestina. The layout of the line contours the city center, connecting the districts of COHAB II, at the extreme east, and Sumaré on the west side.
Grendene Line
This is an entirely new line with 6.7 km extension and 6 stations, connecting the Grendene industrial hub, where formerly was the Camocim railway branch in the Expectativa District, to the COHAB III district, passing through the Junco and Terrenos Novos districts.

DETAILED DESIGN
- Design of the Infra and Superstructures of the South and North stretches’ permanent trackways;
- Overall design of the Civil Works and of the Architecture for 12 stations, following a standard typology for all the stations.
SUPERVISION OF THE CIVIL WORKS
- Development of the activities related to supervision, inspection, and receiving of the foreseen works and services; technologic control, and testing of the equipment and the installations;
- Planning, together with the management area, of the physical-financial program for the undertaking;
- Assessment of the construction methods proposed by the construction company regarding quality of the works;
- Interface between the Design and the Works.
