Duke Energy is one of the largest companies in the segment of generation, distribution, electric transmission, and gas transportation. In Brazil it has operated and administrated eight hydroelectric power plants along the Paranapanema River, between the States of São Paulo and Paraná, with a total installed capacity of 2,307 megawatts (MW).

CONSULTING AND DUE-DILIGENCE
- Analyses of the Basic Design;
- Analyses of the risks of two HPPs, involving specialties in cartography, hydrology/hydraulics, concrete structures, environment, geology, and geotechnics.;
- Diligence on two HPPs, in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, and transmission lines;
- Pre-filling inspection;
- Elaboration of a filling manual.
OWNER’S ENGINEERING
Owner’s Engineering consists of the assistance provided, not only in the design phase of the undertaking, but to the construction and commissioning phases as well, including:
- Analyses and certification of Design Criteria Reports, Technical Specifications, Memory Logs and Drawings;
- Technical follow-up of the works, including measurements;
- Inspection of materials and equipment, including review and approval of the Performance and Acceptance Tests;
- Multidisciplinary technical consulting;
- Support on testing, commissioning and related activities right up to conclusion of the works;
- Coordination of the diversion of the river during the planning and execution stages;
- Management of the interfaces between Design/Works and Disciplinary.
