SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT FOR INSPECTION OF THE WORKS AND
ENGINEERING SERVICES OF THE GOIÁS EXCLUSIVE BUS LANE - BRT NORTH/SOUTH

The township of Goiania, has had considerable growth in population, and as from 2010 has conducted transport demand studies made by the local mayoralty, which resulted in the “BRT – Bus Rapid Transit Project” – the BRT North/South. This project attends to almost half of the population in the urban conglomerate, which includes the cities of Goiania and Aparecida de Goiania (approximately 1.8 million inhabitants). The project comprises a rigid pavement roadway system with exclusive lanes for the BRT, viaducts and trench-ways, as well as fringe roads and return exits made of flexible pavement. Also included are special structures, terminals/stations, and signaling systems.

Setec Hidrobrasileira, participated in this project providing:

  • Follow up of the construction processes by conducting field inspections in the several job fronts; dealing with the interfaces of several disciplines; obtaining the results of materials tests, in order to conduct technological controls;
  • Reviews of the physical and financial schedules;
  • Elaboration of the technical engineering reports;
  • Inspection and acceptance of the work performed during the construction period;
  • Monitoring/follow-up of the archeological sites in the Goiania city center.

PLANNING

  • Elaboration of the overall planning of the works based upon the contract milestones;
  • Elaboration and implementation of a monitoring and assessing system;
  • Follow-up and control of the physical/financial execution of the services, processing information and generating technical reports, which include the physical/financial monitoring, interdisciplinary project management and operations matters, as well as the inputs for evaluating results.

 

DESIGN

  • Development of management activities and verification of the Detailed Design’s elaboration.

 

INSTITUTIONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT

  • Follow-up of the processes and procedures with all the public and private organisms;
  • Provide support to Environmental Management and provide advisory services for developing activities related to managing and supervising  the environmental services;
