SUPERVISION OF THE EXTENSION WORKS AND REMODELING OF THE FORTALEZA AIRPORT

The Extension and Remodeling Works at the Fortaleza Airport are divided into three steps: expansion of the Passenger Terminal, increasing the number of embarkation fingers from 7 up to 15; adjustments to the roadway system and the taxi-in/out lanes; and extension of the takeoff and landing runway.
The project includes expansion of the embarkation and disembarkation areas and the upgrading to international aviation levels of some of the existing spaces, such as the construction of RESAs, safety zones on both brinks of the runway, construction of new taxi-in/out ways, construction of new substations, as well as an area for aircraft parking.
Setec Hidrobrasileira supervises the work of EPC (contractor), conducting inspections, monitoring and verifying the management systems for quality control, auditing the contractor’s work in terms of health, job safety, and environment. It also supports, remotely, the review of project documents with regard to compliance to the requisites of Fraport Brasil.

SUPERVISION OF WORKS
Setec Hidrobrasileira is working in close collaboration with Fraport Brasil’s infrastructure team, with the purpose of ensuring that all the Project and Construction Services are being supplied according to schedule, budget, quality, and that the expected safety and health standards are reached, without affecting the operations of the international airport.
Activities: analysis of the contracting party’s project, general control of the construction’s quality, inspection of the construction, supervision of activities related to commissioning at the terminals, control of health and safety, acceptance and inspection of the works during the construction period.

An app that is used to assist in supervising the works
By digitalizing the services, Setec Hidrobrasileira is one step ahead of traditional supervision.
We are using the BulldozAIR® app to facilitate the management of construction projects. The application centralizes the day-to-day news, with key words, free text, photos, location plans. The periodic daily report is generated automatically, and the organization is adapted to the project and to the needs of our client Fraport.
In other words, this application provides digitalized supervision!
