In a consortium, SETEC provides environmental management auditing services for projects of the Special Projects Management Superintendence of the Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo (SABESP) in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, which are part of the Tietê Project.

The Environmental Audits are carried out on projects to be implanted in the SPMR covering approximately 820 km (eight hundred and twenty) of linear works, the implantation of pumping stations and the expansion of the 5 Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) of the Integrated Sewage System, as well as the implantation of 2 new STPs in the Far North region of the SPMR.

The purpose of the audits is to check that the contractors contracted to carry out the works are properly structured to fulfill their responsibilities in terms of environmental management.

Monthly checks are made both on the plans drawn up by the contractors and on the compliance with the technical requirements of the environmental license for each site. In addition, field inspections are carried out using checklists to identify non-conformities.
